Essential Functions
Maintains an orderly and tidy used equipment display area
Photographs machines for marketing efforts
Coordinates inspection process with sales people and customers
Assists walk-in customers
Starts and shows machine to prospective buyers
Inspects potential trades, consignments, fleet retirements, and purchases
Inspects trades as they are received to make sure they are complete and in the same condition as initially inspected
Measures and inspects undercarriages on rental and used machines
Coordinates repair and sales preparation of used equipment
Inspects used rental equipment for customer damage and contact customer when necessary to negotiate repair
Coordinates service on flat tires, glass replacement, replacing batteries
Makes minor repairs to designated machines
Other duties as assigned by manager
Pay Rate Pay Rate:
$61,665.61 - $84,845.04 Annually
Pay rate is based on education and experience.
Required Education And Experience
High School Diploma or GED
5+ years as a heavy equipment technician on Caterpillar equipment
1+ years administrative/clerical experience
1+ years customer service experience
Physical Demands & Competencies
Standing, walking, talking, sitting, use of hands & hearing
Data Entry, telephone, reading/writing, reasoning, organizational, communication & math skills
Safety & Product Knowledge
Medium work that includes lifting and/or moving objects up to 32 pounds or more
Familiarity with all construction machinery
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Travel Requirements
Up to 25%
