The Conservator (Curator IV) position at the Texas State Library and Archives Commission is a full-time role with a monthly salary of $6,250-$7,084. Responsibilities
Manage the daily activities of the Summerlee Conservation Lab at TSLAC and perform complex treatments on rare and unique archival and library materials in accordance with the AIC code of ethics. Develop and monitor work procedures for the unit, establish priorities, and make treatment decisions. Assist with outreach and educational programs, preservation planning and surveys, emergency response, and environmental control. Instruct and monitor interns, students, or volunteers assigned to assist with conservation tasks.
