KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools

KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools is part of the KIPP national network. In the 2026‑2027 school year the region will comprise four schools educating 3,000+ students, kindergarten through twelfth grade, in the North and West sides of Jacksonville, Florida: KIPP Impact Academy : Kindergarten–8th grade KIPP VOICE Academy : Kindergarten–8th grade KIPP Bessie Coleman Academy : Kindergarten–8th grade KIPP Bold City High School : 9th–12th grade Teachers work Monday through Friday, may have occasional meetings or special school events outside these hours. Hours for teachers and students may vary slightly by school. K‑8 Staff : 7:30 am – 4:30 pm

Wednesday K‑8 dismissal

1:30 pm

High School Staff : 6:45 am – 3:45 pm

High School Students : 7:15 am – 2:30 pm,

Every Wednesday is a student early release day, which allows teachers to participate in weekly professional development and content team meetings. This does not include Wellness Wednesdays when all staff leave at student dismissal. We will employ approximately 300 full‑time staff members. POSITION OVERVIEW

KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools seeks high school teachers for our 9th‑12th grade classrooms in the 2026‑2027 school year. While this is not a guarantee of placement, selected candidates in the pool may be invited to interview when openings arise. RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for at least one subject area. Create a positive classroom environment. Implement curriculum and assess students. Collaborate with team and build relationships with families. Other duties as assigned. Full teacher responsibilities are ultimately outlined by their school leader. KIPP Bold City’s vision is to be a high school built on student voice and choice. Bold City offers a variety of options for its students – honors classes, Advanced Placement for all, and career/technical education. Classes are chosen based on student and family interest. As the school grows we seek to add more career tracks and Dual Enrollment. We also offer a variety of extracurriculars and sports. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

First‑year lead teacher starting salary: $50,000. Access to individual health benefits (medical, dental, vision). Access to individual short‑term and long‑term disability insurance. 403(b) retirement program with a company match. All lead teachers receive individualized coaching and professional development. Salary offered in the DocuSign does not include stipends. Certified New‑to‑KIPP staff received a historical average of $13,000 with TSIA stipends. Additional stipends may be earned. This role is eligible for instructional stipends only with FLDOE certification. QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree. Relevant FL teaching certification or eligibility in one of the following areas: 6‑12 Math, 6‑12 ELA, 6‑12 Social Science, 6‑12 Biology/Chemistry, etc. At least one complete year of teaching experience with a proven track‑record of high achievement in the classroom. Embodies core values: high expectations, growth mindset, commitment to team, trust, joy, sustainability. Deep commitment to an inclusive, healthy, and empowering community for students. Passing a background check, as required by law. HIGHLY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Florida Reading Endorsement (or reading competency coursework in progress) if teaching English Language Arts. ESOL Endorsement (or competency coursework in progress). Two or more years of teaching experience with a proven track‑record of high achievement in a relevant grade level. CERTIFICATION
