The HSE Manager is responsible for the implementation and administration of the NOV EPS HSE management system. The HSE Manager will provide HSE leadership and guidance to the assigned facility. Guidance will include onsite presence to mentor, assess and identify programs, procedures and policies that require actions that will facilitate required HSE-MS and legal regulatory compliance.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Responsible for maintaining facility compliance to applicable regulatory requirements and NOV Global HSE Policy.

Facilitates and leads facility HSE functions in implementing strategic planning and deployment of initiatives.

Analyzes and communicates HSE performance to facility and HSE leadership.

Directs and supports location team with implementation of HSE programs, including Global HSE Management System.

Participates in or leads accident investigations with the aid of location management.

Conducts risk assessments and creates proposals for preventative measures and identifies safe methods of work.

Manage recordkeeping and reporting requirements associated with environmental laws.

Prepares multiple HSE reports to management.

Coordinate with HR and Workman’s Compensation personnel, as needed if an injury occurs.

Communicates new environmental, occupational safety, health laws and regulations.

Organizes, coordinates, and participates in HSE audits and facility inspections.

Act as a primary contact in the event of HSE inspections from internal and external sources.

Completes other tasks as requested by manager.

Education & Experience Qualifications

3-5 years of prior HSE manufacturing experience; college degree preferred.

Professional certifications in the field of HSE may be substituted in lieu of education.

Demonstrated ability to understand, explain, and apply concepts and for legal requirements.

Behavioral Competencies

Demonstrate professional and ethical behavior in accordance with NOV Corporate policies.

Ability to communicate with personnel at all levels within the organization.

Technical Competencies

Proficient computer skills required.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Facility/Group Specific Responsibilities

Cross functional responsibilities to business unit or segment may also be required.

Availability may be required outside of working hours including some evenings or weekends.

Minimal travel may be required.
