The National Security Sector at Leidos is seeking a Regional Hub Node (RHN) Training Specialist with WIN-T baseband experience in support of the Communications Electronics Life Cycle Management Command (CECOM FMD) for a full-time opportunity at Grovetown, GA. You will be part of a team responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable, high-availability network architectures that meet program objectives now and with future improvements. Training will include fielding support, forward training, and operational support. The system currently includes equipment such as Unit Hub Node, Regional Hub Node, Single Shelter Switch (SSS), Joint Network Nodes (JNN), Battalion Command Post Nodes (BnCPN), Network Operations (NetOps), and Satellite Transportable Terminals (STTs). Responsibilities
New Equipment and Field Operations Support: Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability; monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning; provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting; work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure. Curriculum Development: Coordinate with Government customers to prepare and maintain training plans for current and future systems; create customized training plans based on current systems, new system upgrades, and mission-specific requirements. Training Services: Deliver instruction through field and classroom training; when required, work at night and in inclement weather; coordinate classroom setup to support each class; provide modernization instruction on operations and maintenance of supported systems; serve as primary fielders, installers, instructors, assistant instructors, and/or demonstrators. Cross Training: Participate in formal training and self-instruction to increase breadth of systems competency for training and fielding requirements. Continuing Education: Maintain instructor certification status through self-study and other methods; attend instructor qualification training or other specialized training at various CONUS or OCONUS locations. Other duties as directed. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years of related experience (additional related experience can offset degree requirements). Active DoD Secret security clearance. Knowledge of Switching/Routing and WIN-T subsystems: Unit Hub Node, Regional Hub Node, SSS, JNN, BnCPN, and STTs. Knowledge of Satellite Communications and Communications Security. Experience with Virtual Machine Infrastructure (VMware VCP-DCV) setup and troubleshooting; understanding of WIN-T assemblages. Experience with NCC Operations, Linkway, Raydyne, FDMA and NCW modem operations; strong understanding of networking protocols (IPsec, DMVPN, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS). Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model; hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostics, and network analytics tools. Ability to travel up to 50% CONUS and OCONUS. Compensation
Pay Range: $57,850.00 - $104,575.00
