Deering Bay Yacht & Country Club is excited to announce the opportunity of part-time Kids Club Attendant!
Primary job is to ensure the safety and security of all children while in the Kids Club care.
Responsibilities:
Maintains a safe environment for children placed in day care. Organizes and participates in recreational activities, such as games, reads to children, and teaches them simple painting, drawing, crafts, and songs. Must portray a fun and energetic demeanor. Sanitizes toys, play equipment, and completes the daily cleaning checklist. Ensures that all necessary paperwork is completed, including accident reports, sign-in sheets, and opening and closing sheets. Contacts parent/guardian, if necessary, to attend to discipline issues and personal needs (diaper changing, changing clothes). Ensures parents are adhering to the Kids Club policies and signs child in and out of facility. Regular and reliable attendance. Performs other duties as required. Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Childcare experience preferred. Physical Demands:
Frequently uses hands; reaches with hands and arms; talks, hears, stands and walks, climbs or balances; stoops, and kneels. Occasionally sits, crouches, or crawls; tastes or smells. Occasionally lifts up to 45 pounds. Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions. Noise level is moderate. Certificates/Licenses:
CPR and First Aid Certification required. Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:
Must be able to communicate with children. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to communicate with parents. Hearing sufficient to understand conversations, both in person and on the telephone. Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job.
