Personal Lines Account Manager- New Business Focus

Position Summary
As a Personal Lines Account Manager with a focus on New Business, you’ll be responsible for managing inbound leads, quoting, and issuing new personal lines policies, and helping grow the agency’s client base. You will work closely with our producers, carriers, and support staff to ensure a seamless and professional client experience from first contact through policy issuance. You will also manage a book of business to provide ongoing, exemplary service to Avery’s valued clients. This role is ideal for a motivated insurance professional who enjoys building relationships, closing new personal lines accounts, and helping expand our client base through referrals, inbound leads, and cross-selling opportunities. While client service is part of the role, the primary focus is onboarding new personal lines accounts through proactive engagement. We’re looking for someone who thrives working with new clients and enjoys the sales process. Key Responsibilities
Proactively manage incoming new business opportunities from various channels (referrals, producer-driven, marketing campaigns, walk-ins, and online). Conduct coverage reviews and recommend appropriate insurance solutions to meet client needs. Present options, bind, and issue policies across a range of personal lines products (home, auto, umbrella, etc.) in various states, and with a strong advisory focus. Follow up diligently with prospects to close sales and meet new business goals. Maintain accurate records in our agency management system. Build strong relationships with both clients and carrier partners. Cross-sell and upsell additional coverages when appropriate. Stay up to date with carrier guidelines, underwriting changes, and market trends. Qualifications
3+ years of experience in personal lines insurance, preferably in an account manager or new business role. Active Property & Casualty license Strong working knowledge of major personal lines carriers and comparative rater tools. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Comfortable with consultative selling and follow-up communications. Experience handling a high volume of inbound or referral-based leads. Customer-first attitude with a solution-oriented mindset. Familiarity with agency management systems, preferably AMS360. Why Join Us?
