Summary:
Lead individual teams within the Sales department while focusing on customer and employee retention. Achieve success with a proven sales process that creates a better motorcycle buying experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead and motivate the sales team to exceed activity and closing standards.
Set aggressive, realistic monthly sales goals and monitor performance.
Track and log all customer leads in the dealership CRM system.
Conduct daily sales meetings, one‑on‑one training, and performance reviews.
Deliver consistent customer service and follow the dealership sales process.
Cross‑sell Parts, Accessories, Financing, Insurance Products, and Service Plans.
Enforce vehicle delivery policies and handle customer complaints with empathy.
Assist the Sales Manager with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring staff.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Conduct daily one‑on‑one meetings with Fit Specialists.
Train all sales personnel on the dealership sales process.
Ensure adherence to all sales department policies and procedures.
Model and expect 100% compliance from the team.
Recruit, interview, hire, and, if needed, terminate employees.
Qualifications and Job Requirements
Minimum 3 years of auto or motorcycle sales experience.
High School Diploma or equivalent; additional college credit preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to present yourself and the dealership professionally.
Knowledge of Harley‑Davidson products and ability to learn quickly.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and dealership CRM.
Valid driver’s license and motorcycle endorsement.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Must be computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, along with general email/internet.
High energy level and self‑motivated, positive, driven personality.
Excellent customer service and closing skills.
Physical Demands
Use both hands and lift up to 25 lbs of material.
Stand, walk, and balance for extended periods.
Move an 800+ lb motorcycle.
Working Conditions
Noisy work environment.
Exposure to battery acid, gasoline, chemical cleaning materials, and exhaust fumes.
Frequently works near moving mechanical parts.
