Overview
Oregon Steel Mills LLC is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join their dynamic team in Portland, Oregon. As an Inside Sales Representative, you will perform all facets of Inside Sales duties and support Outside Sales by developing new leads and building relationships with customers to enable Oregon Steel to secure the greatest volume of profitable sales. Responsibilities
Responsible for order solicitation, pricing and quotations, order write-up, expediting, claims processing, and general telephone work as well as assuming responsibility for accounts and projects Understand the roles and functions of various departments and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals Keep up-to-date on competitor activity within the industry (e.g., pricing, product developments, policies, company changes) and report significant information to Sales Management and Outside Sales Representatives Requirements
Bachelor\'s degree in business administration, marketing, or related field or commensurate experience preferred 3 to 5 years of business-to-business (B2B) sales experience, preferably metals related Strong interpersonal skills; customer service oriented Time management skills and demonstrated ability to multi-task while maintaining accuracy Computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office Must be able to travel on occasion Willing to work extended hours to meet objectives Benefits
