Summary

The Account Manager is responsible for the positioning and selling of the Pacira portfolio within the assigned territory. This includes pharmacological and technical knowledge (Package Insert & functions, benefits) and the sales of Pacira’s portfolio of products. The Account Manager will work with the Regional Director to develop a business plan that aims to exceed defined sales revenues for the territory. The role uses product knowledge, institutional and office relationships, and business acumen to execute a strategy to meet and exceed sales objectives for Pacira’s portfolio. Responsibilities

Identify target markets in accordance with organizational strategy using familiarity with account-based operations and existing reporting, tools and dashboards. Ensure that corporate revenue objectives are exceeded within the assigned geography. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, health care providers and pharmacies to ensure Pacira portfolio adoption within accounts and geography. Develop and maintain expertise of all products. Apply effective time management to increase sales productivity and implement sales activities to achieve objectives. Participate with Region Director in strategic and tactical planning processes. Update and document sales account information via the software system (Veeva). Demonstrate expertise in the hospital, ASC, or office conversion process. Develop and execute sales and retention strategies for target markets and customers. Complete face-to-face sales meetings with physicians, schedulers, practice managers, and medical staff to ensure understanding and close business, identifying and minimizing obstacles. Manage territory with office visits to educate on services offered, enhancements, and new advances. Communicate opportunities, market trends, and issues to management in a timely manner and present opportunities and challenges to leadership as needed. Manage expense budgets in a timely manner. Stay up to date with the latest clinical data and present and discuss this data with health professionals during presentations. Qualifications

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Minimum of 1 year direct selling experience to hospitals and healthcare professionals in the pharmaceutical, biotech, device, or healthcare industry. Minimum 1 year experience selling in the OR is preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Excellent written and oral English communication skills. Strong presentation skills. Ability to complete hospital credentialing requirements to gain access to facilities. Experience using Customer Relationship Management tools. Ability to travel extensively; valid driver’s license, safe driving history, and reliable transportation. Must live in or near the designated geographic territory. Knowledge of industry business drivers, medical trends, and performance metrics to inform strategy. Strong communication, interpersonal, collaborative, and analytical skills with a customer focus. Independently motivated and driven to achieve goals and improve knowledge and skills. Sales discipline: goal setting, prospecting, networking, territory management, and time management. Skills in account management, needs assessment, value propositioning, handling objections, and gaining agreement with physicians and procurement. Proficiency with MS Office and relevant mobile/web tools. Overnight travel may be required; ability to cover geographic territory and attend corporate meetings up to 90% of the time. Physical Demands

Regular travel by automobile, airplane, and other forms of public transportation. Prolonged sitting or standing and movement in OR and healthcare environments. Work Environment

Typical corporate office environment plus healthcare facilities (hospitals, medical centers, ambulatory centers) and attendance at conferences and professional meetings in varying venues. Includes B2B accounts. Benefits

The base pay range for this role is $112,000 - $130,000 per year. This range reflects compensation decisions based on factors including geographic markets, business needs, skills, experience, training, licensure, and certifications. EEO Statement
