Responsibilities
Research and identify potential school and district partners through various outreach methods
Qualify prospects and set up appointments for Account Managers
Establish rapport with educators and administrators to promote literacy through Scholastic Reading Events
Maintain accurate records of interactions and track progress towards sales goals in the CRM system
Collaborate with the sales team to improve lead generation strategies and refine sales techniques
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field
Minimum of three (3) years of proven successful sales experience in retail or territory sales, event management, or customer service
Proficiency with MS Office and experience with Sales Automation or Customer Relationship Management software
Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills with customers and team members
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with children’s literature, Book Fairs, and school activities
Proven leadership abilities and qualities demonstrated in previous roles
Experience in marketing and merchandising strategy and execution
