This role reports to the Sales Support Manager and is located in Memphis, TN with a hybrid work model. Role
The Pre-Sales Support Specialist will provide timely support to ABB Sales, ABB Distributors, Specification Engineers, Contractors, and End Users. Responsibilities
Pre-Sales & Product Support: Provide pre-sales support and assist with accurate product selection for ABB electrical distribution and control products, including competitor cross-referencing. Customer & Team Collaboration: Interact with customers and cross-functional teams (Sales, R&D, Supply Chain, Product Management) to deliver commercial solutions and ensure customer satisfaction. Case Management & Communication: Document customer interactions using Salesforce, respond to inquiries via phone, and ensure timely resolution of issues. Global Coordination: Collaborate with global teams to support customer needs and maintain consistency in service and solutions. Qualifications
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field, or equivalent experience; minimum 5 years working with ABB and GE products. Product Expertise: Deep knowledge of residential, distribution, and control products including load centers, transformers, breakers, motor control, and MODBUS programming. Communication & Collaboration: Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills; able to work effectively across all organizational levels and with U.S. customers via phone and email. Team Orientation & Adaptability: Works well in team environments, demonstrating ownership and urgency to complete tasks and support customer needs. Work Authorization: Candidates must already have work authorization to work for ABB in the US. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
