Aon is Looking for an Account Specialist I to join our team! We currently have an exciting career opportunity for an Account Specialist I to work hybrid out of either our Bannockburn, IL or Victor, NY office. What the day will look like: This role will assist the Account Executives and Associate Account Executives on assigned accounts. They will also be managing key processes that serve clients (including complex clients) and undertaking the client-facing and internal activities related to these processes. Account Specialists will also assist Brokers as necessary particularly on Commercial Risk business.
Maintains effective and productive relationships with clients.
Performs activities to support Account Executive/Broker team with initiating, marketing and processing of renewals, processing client invoices, requesting auto IDs, assisting with surplus lines processes, resolving account discrepancies in cooperation with PASC, initiating endorsement requests and processing other client requests and account servicing functions.
At the direction of the Account Executive/Broker, drafts quote comparisons and follows up for binders, policies and endorsements.
Seeks assistance from senior team members when confronted with unfamiliar or complex processing transactions.
Ensures system of record (Bridge & Broker Desktop) is accurate and current to ensure outputs and client goals will be produced according to guidelines and policy detail.
Manages client open items lists and responds to client ad-hoc requests.
Where applicable, serves as the primary collaborator with Aon Client Services (ACS), coordinating activities of the client service team and ACS to ensure that key processes assigned are performed effectively.
Act as the primary collaborator to PASC on client administration matters.
Serves as key client liaison for items such as certificates, auto IDs, location additions, invoices, WC posting notices, allocations, premium finance agreements, summaries of insurance and policy transmittals.
Understands and works in alignment with the Aon Leadership Model and its pillars of Client Value, Unmatched Teams, Innovations, Results and Values.
Ensures operational excellence, including adherence to service management requirements (e.g., Transparency & Disclosure, Aon Compliance Requirements, and Client Promise Methodology).
Skills and experience that will lead to success Required Experience:
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with external and internal clients on client servicing activities
Understands operation processes and methodologies; proven ability to work effectively with moderate guidance and supervision.
Strong Excel skills to import/export data, strong Word skills, some v-look up experience a plus.
Successfully operates in a fast-paced, output-driven environment that requires multi-tasking and handling non-routine tasks.
Preferred Experience:
Early career position, 1-3 years of commercial insurance/office experience preferred; will also consider recent college graduate
Property & Casualty broker's license preferred, or to be obtained within 6 months of hire
Education:
Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but will consider a high school diploma with 1 – 3 years of commercial insurance experience.
Pay Transparency Laws:
The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is
$47,000.00 - $60,000.00
annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
