Overview
Responsible for reviewing and validating overpayments and underpayments identified within the EPIC contract management system as it relates to Managed Care and commercial payor accounts. The specialist participates in data gathering, financial modeling and creation of ad hoc financial reports using multiple database systems for the Managed Care department. The financial models and reports support contract negotiations, auditing purposes, and validation of claim payments to assist senior leadership in decision-making. Department Description

EPIC Certification in Area of Responsibility Preferred Education
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Business Administration Accounting coursework required Medical Terminology preferred Experience
2 years in Accounting/Finance related to Collections 1 year in Accounting/Finance related to Third Party Payors 2 years in Healthcare and Managed Care Contracting and Medical Insurance Plans preferred
