CREDIT ANALYST - SPECIALTY LENDING

POSITION SUMMARY Provides credit analysis for the warehouse lending and equipment finance teams, coordination of credit reviews, and ongoing monitoring of the warehouse and equipment finance portfolios. The desired candidate will use independent judgement and discretion to investigate credit requests and manage credit risk within the portfolio.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyzing financial data of clients / prospects (30%)
Preparing loan reviews / presentation on clients / prospects (30%)
Assisting in the sales process (25%)
Credit risk monitoring support (15%)
DETAILED TASKS
Attend client / prospect meetings with Loan Officers to evaluate credit worthiness.
Analyze financial statements, ratios, credit reports, third‑party sources.
Provide accurate credit recommendations to Loan Officers.
Use 3rd‑party credit reports to make decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
Proactively obtain information from Loan Officers and clients for annual reviews.
Underwrite and present credit committee materials adhering to bank policies.
Support warehouse and equipment finance review and risk rating processes.
Assist with facility documentation and general administration.
Perform pre‑call industry and company research.
Update CRM for clients and prospects.
Support reporting on quality and trends for portfolios.
Monitor current status and risk elements, communicate with clients.
Recommend improvements to monitoring and reporting mechanisms.

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related discipline
Proficient in MS Office products, particularly Excel
Previous banking experience (1-3 years) a plus
Workload Management – Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines
Interpersonal Skills – Ability to establish and cultivate trusting professional working relationships
Communication – Ability to express ideas and opinions clearly and directly, both verbally and in writing
Analytical Skills – Ability to collect and analyze data, draw sound conclusions, and formulate recommendations that address critical variables
Teamwork – Ability to foster a shared sense of purpose, collaboration, and accountability for results
Innately curious – A hunger to learn and understand complex information
COMPENSATION Yearly Salary: $55,000 – $75,000
