Medium Complex Claims Adjuster - Multi Line at AIG. This role supports Financial Lines & Casualty Complex Claims and offers an opportunity to grow skills as a valued member of the team. Our Claims teams provide technical excellence and a differentiated, global claims handling experience. We deliver responsive, fair and professional service with empathy and efficiency through robust processes, leadership and stakeholder collaboration. Responsibilities
Fulfill the role of a Multi-Line Medium Complex Claim Adjuster to proactively assess and manage medium complexity claims from the first notification of loss to timely, accurate, customer-focused resolution, including coverage and quantum analysis throughout the claim lifecycle. Demonstrate financial control with timely and accurate reserving methodology and effective claims management. Adhere to AIG Claims Handling Policy and Guidelines, best practice procedures, service level agreements and local regulations. Maintain close collaboration and communication with Brokers and Underwriting teams. Identify and review suspicious or fraudulent claims in line with internal requirements. Foster professional relationships with internal and external customers to excel in customer service. Deliver superior claims services, provide meaningful reporting on claims intelligence and analytics, and share insights. Work with Regional and Local claims teams to drive alignment across the portfolio. Ensure timely reporting by the Claims Department in line with business deadlines; prioritize and execute tasks effectively. Manage key claims handling inquiries, coverage determination, quantum analysis and legal liability assessment within authority limits, including timely coverage assessments and reservation/denial letters. Follow up on recommendations from technical claims audits and drive continuous claim handling improvement. Perform any additional related tasks. What You 0Need To Succeed
Bachelor’s Degree or a combination of education and experience. Experience in claims handling. Adjuster’s License. Policy language skills enabling accurate interpretation of policy wording. Knowledge of insurance regulatory and/or procedural requirements in Puerto Rico. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and related applications. Bilingual: excellent written and verbal communication in Spanish and English. Effective communication, time management, administrative and report-writing skills. Analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail. Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with ability to work with other units inside/outside the department and companywide. Exceedingly customer-service oriented. Lateral thinking and the ability to develop ideas to improve working practices. Work Arrangement
