Job Description The Commercial discipline is responsible for driving business growth, managing partnerships, and providing industry subject matter expertise and advisory to both clients and internal teams. This strategic and consultative team builds meaningful relationships with clients through their knowledge of IT services, industry trends, and pain points. Members include business development staff, client partners, alliances and partnerships managers, industry advisors, and operational leads. As a Senior Business Development Manager at Endava, you will identify new clients and introduce them to our capabilities and IT services. You will guide these customers through the sales cycle, offering solutions that enable them to achieve business goals through enterprise transformation of their IT environment. Responsibilities: Serve as a trusted advisor selling IT Professional Services to potential clients to showcase our capabilities and build long-term relationships. Drive new opportunities through new and existing clients, supporting sales and relationship growth. Identify potential target clients via lead generation, cold calling, networking, referrals, and research. Manage the entire client sales cycle, from acquisition to closing deals and revenue growth. Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads aligned with sales goals. Negotiate, manage, and close strategic new business deals. Exceed sales targets and revenue objectives. Leverage industry knowledge to become a Subject Matter Expert on technology challenges within your vertical. Grow your book-of-business to achieve uncapped commissions. Participate in industry speaking events, workshops, panels, and conferences to share expertise. Engage in external industry events. Qualifications: 8-10+ years of new business development experience in the payments industry, with a focus on solutions selling and problem-solving. Deep understanding of or experience with offshore/nearshore IT Professional Services. Significant experience in the Payments industry, with knowledge of merchant services, card issuing, and enterprise money movement. Experience engaging with various stakeholders in the payments ecosystem, including networks, merchants, financial institutions, and intermediaries. Experience with payment acceptance or business payments (B2B, B2C, C2B). Existing network of contacts or customers in Payments. Proven success leading strategic business development initiatives for large enterprise clients. Hunter sales experience: prospecting, cold calling, qualifying, presenting, negotiating, closing, and relationship building. Ability to engage VP and C-level decision-makers by identifying industry pain points. Self-motivated with a track record of exceeding sales targets, including a £5M+ annual quota. Experience preparing proposals, business cases, and statements of work. Collaborative leadership skills to work across stakeholders internally and externally. Additional Requirements: Willingness to travel locally, nationally, and internationally as needed (valid passport/driving license required). Occasional lifting of 25 pounds for trade shows or live events.
