Job Description Are you ready to shape the future of investment analysis? At L&G, we’re looking for a Credit Analyst to join our Credit Ratings Team, where your insights will help drive robust, independent ratings for structured finance and alternative investments. You’ll be part of a collaborative environment that values diverse perspectives and empowers you to make a meaningful impact.
What you’ll be doing
Leading credit rating analysis for new structured finance and alternative transactions
Collaborating with origination teams to gather and assess transaction data
Reviewing market trends, peer ratings, and legal documentation
Advising on credit protections to optimise transaction structures
Presenting rating recommendations to Credit Committees
Monitoring portfolio performance and conducting annual reviews
Contributing to internal rating methodology development
Supporting digitalisation and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications Who we’re looking for:
Experience in financial or credit analysis within structured finance or fund finance
Familiarity with CLOs, equity release mortgages, NAV loans or asset-backed finance
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret macro and micro trends
Experience in transaction structuring or attending due diligence meetings
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Python or SQL knowledge is a plus
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
A collaborative mindset with attention to detail and creative problem-solving
Motivation to improve processes and support team development
