We are looking for individuals who want to begin their careers with extensive support and training. You do not need a background in finance to get started. Because we provide award‑winning training and development, recent grads have the opportunity to take on a new challenge without previous industry experience. You will receive training through NM’s National Training Program “Financial Planning Academy” and partner with industry experts until you’re ready to practice on your own.
Overview Financial Representatives help clients reach their financial goals by staying with them over time and evolving their plans as needs change. With more than half of Americans believing their financial planning needs are improving, a career with Northwestern Mutual provides abundant opportunities. You will partner with clients by creating personalized financial plans built on their unique needs and desires and help them protect what they’ve worked so hard to achieve while growing their assets for the future.
Responsibilities
Partner with clients to create personalized financial plans.
Help clients protect their assets and grow their wealth over the long term.
Work with industry experts throughout the National Training Program to develop your practice.
Compensation This is a commission‑based career. In the first year we provide startup compensation to help you transition into the business, and higher commissions for the first three years. In the first year the average base salary range is $90‑$100k, and advisors 5+ years in the business earn on average $624k.
