A leading global investment manager is seeking an experienced and analytical investment professional to join its Asset-Based Finance (ABF) team within its growing credit platform. The ABF team focuses on private, non-corporate credit investments that are backed by financial or hard assets, including consumer, commercial, and specialty lending portfolios. This group manages a multi-billion dollar platform and plays a key role in originating, underwriting, and managing asset-backed transactions across a range of collateral types.

The Associate will be a core member of lean deal teams, with significant exposure to senior investment professionals and the opportunity to help shape the continued growth of the platform.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the evaluation, structuring, and underwriting of new investment opportunities across asset-backed credit markets
Conduct cash flow modeling and scenario analyses to assess performance and potential returns
Support due diligence processes, including data gathering, collateral analysis, and coordination with external advisors
Draft investment memoranda and materials for internal review and approval
Monitor and analyze the performance of existing portfolio investments, tracking trends and key metrics
Support deal execution, closing logistics, and ongoing asset management
Contribute to market research and pipeline development, identifying emerging opportunities within specialty and structured finance
Qualifications
2–4 years of relevant experience in asset-backed finance, structured credit, or specialty lending at an investment bank, hedge fund, or investment firm
Strong financial modeling and quantitative analysis skills, with a focus on cash flow analysis and structured credit metrics
Solid understanding of loan-level data, securitization structures, and collateral performance dynamics
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities
Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to summarize complex financial concepts clearly
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and entrepreneurial environment
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering, math, or related technical discipline
