Senior Accountant (North Metro Atlanta)

Base Pay Range $70,000 / yr – $75,000 / yr
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
Lead month‑end and year‑end closing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring proper reconciliation and timely processing.
Manage the general ledger, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Coordinate internal and external audits, maintaining audit‑ready documentation.
Develop and implement accounting policies in compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts, and conduct variance analysis.
Perform profitability and cost‑benefit analyses to support business decisions.
Mentor junior accounting staff and support their professional development.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support financial aspects of business initiatives.
Track and manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and systems.
Qualifications & Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a senior or supervisory role.
Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, IF functions).
Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, NetSuite, or SAP.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to present financial data clearly.
A proactive, self‑driven mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
