From our Suwanee (GA) office our team services the North American markets (USA and Canada), which includes engineering/ technical and logistical service to our partners, distributors, and MEP customers, all associated with the Sikla range of products. Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and providing financial insights to support decision-making. The Senior Accountant will collaborate with other departments and play a key role in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Position in Organization Department: Accounting (Administration) Reports to: Accounting Manager Duties & Key Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes. Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and reconciliations. Manage the general ledger, including journal entries and account reconciliations. Prepare and coordinate audits, including external financial audits and internal compliance reviews. Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory standards. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts and provide variance analysis. Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions, including profitability analysis and cost-benefit analysis. Mentor and train junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and projects. Ensure timely and accurate vendor payments. Perform daily financial tasks including posting A/R data and reconciling payments. Support internal and external audits; maintain audit-ready documentation. Identify, recommend, and implement improvements to financial processes. Track and manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules. Support monthly and year-end close processes and audit reporting. Qualifications, Skills & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory role. Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP), financial reporting, and compliance requirements. Exceptional analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly. Proven ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines. Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, NetSuite, SAP preferred). Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, IF functions, and large dataset analysis). Job Type: Full-Time (40 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, incl. 1-hour lunch). Location: Suwanee, GA 30024. Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States.
