We are seeking an experienced Accountant to lead in a complex, regulated utility environment. The role drives technical accounting leadership, regulatory compliance, and financial statement preparation in a dynamic setting. Key Responsibilities
Maintain accounting records and prepare financial statements in a highly complex environment. Review and support month‑end and year‑end close processes and regulatory reporting. Provide technical guidance and training to junior accountants. Research and recommend accounting treatments, ensuring compliance with GAAP, FERC, SEC, and other applicable standards. Monitor changes from regulatory bodies and implement new accounting procedures. Prepare and review regulatory compliance reports (e.g., FERC Form 1, SEC Form 10‑Q). Lead special projects and rate‑case adjustment activities as assigned. Design and deliver training materials to internal stakeholders. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting or related field. At least 6 years of accounting experience, including public accounting exposure. CPA certification preferred. Proficiency with accounting systems such as Oracle and OneStream, and query tools. Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Preferred Qualifications
Public accounting experience. Experience with energy industry regulatory reporting. Compensation & Benefits
