Our client is seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to join their growing management company team. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with reporting, and supporting the broader finance function as the firm continues to expand. This is a hybrid position, requiring 2-3 days per week in the office, offering both collaboration and flexibility.
Job Function
Maintain the Management Company books and records for both US Parent and foreign subsidiaries.
Prepare and maintain detailed expense allocations and payments.
Prepare financial statements for controller review.
Book accruals and prepayment entries and maintain supporting schedules.
Complete monthly cash reconciliations.
Maintain the expense allocation system (EAS).
Document accounting policies and procedures.
Assist with year-end audits, recurring and ad-hoc compliance tasks, and management reporting.
Job Requirements
1-5 years of experience coming from a Management Company role.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
CPA certification.
Experience at a multi-manager fund or a fund with a pass-through expense structure is a strong plus.
Strong accounting background - solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and US GAAP, balance sheet/income statement/equity accounts, and financial statement preparation.
Familiarity with financial software and systems used – Sage Intacct, Bill.com, and Expensify Experience with multi-entity, multi-currency general ledger, including consolidations.
Excel skills - VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, pivot tables, data tables.
The base pay range for this position is $100,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr.
