Overview
GLG is seeking an Analyst to join the Business Partnering Finance team to partner with the business to help sustain and accelerate significant top and bottom-line growth. Our businesses are delivering robust revenue growth and are well positioned to maintain this trajectory. This role provides strategic insights, operational advice, and has P&L oversight for GLG’s Americas business units, which include Financial Services, Corporate Markets, Consulting, and Law. This position is located in New York and reports to a manager on the Finance team.
Responsibilities
Budgeting and Forecasting – Assist in the development of financial plans for one to two business units, including reliable revenue and cost forecasting processes using business manager inputs and internal data, taking into account historical performance and trends.
KPIs – Develop and understand key metrics, operations, and current trends for each business; perform ad-hoc analyses and modeling based on evolving business needs.
Presentations – Assist in producing monthly and periodic financial reporting materials and create presentations on business performance for Senior Management and the Board of Directors.
Business Partnering – Develop close working relationships with business leaders and their teams to drive data analysis, P&L oversight, and BU initiatives.
Our Ideal Candidate
BA/BS degree
3-6 years of work experience, ideally in FP&A, accounting, investment banking, consulting, or other highly analytical roles
Analytic creativity, insight, and agility with strong technical skills
Commitment to accuracy, detail, analytic consistency, and data integrity
Strong communication skills
Ability and initiative to handle increasing responsibility over time
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
Experience with Salesforce and BI tools (Looker by Google) preferred but not required
Experience with SQL (Snowflake) preferred but not required

Compensation GLG is committed to fair and equitable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as skill set, experience, certifications, and location. Some roles may be eligible for incentive compensation. The anticipated base salary range for this role is $85,500—$130,000 USD.
