What to Expect (Job Responsibilities): - Oversee daily operations of the rural government billing team to ensure timely and accurate billing - Monitor performance metrics and customer satisfaction goals for billing staff - Develop and implement billing policies that comply with federal and state regulations - Collaborate with healthcare providers and billing departments to resolve claim rejections and payor denials - Analyze billing data to identify trends and enhance the collection process
What is Required (Qualifications): - High School Diploma or equivalent - 3-4 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle with demonstrated increasing responsibility - Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations affecting rural health services - Strong leadership skills to coach and mentor team members - Ability to stay updated on changes in healthcare regulations and billing practices
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications): - Certification as a Certified Professional Biller (CPB), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)
