Job Title: SBA Credit Analyst

Department: SBA Loan Center

We are looking for a

SBA Credit Analyst

to join our SBA Loan Center team. The SBA Credit Analyst will be responsible for evaluating, analyzing, underwriting, documenting, and processing lending products and loan files.

Key Responsibilities

Perform credit analysis and spreads on financial information and review application for SBA eligibility determination and communicate with management on loans. Site visitations to new borrowers and existing borrowers. Prepare & review files for policy, regulatory, and documentation compliance, including equal credit, fair credit reporting, BSA, and other regulatory requirements. Prepare documents and meet with borrowers for proper, accurate, and timely signing of loan documents and perform notarization (if applicable). Follow up with tickler items. Review weekly past due reports to monitor payment performance of each borrower and take appropriate actions for delinquent borrowers.

Requirements/Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience. Prior experience in business lending or banking preferred, but not required. Ability to retain broad knowledge of lending tasks, lending regulation, lien laws, and loan documentation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person, and over the phone. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or client complaints. Present a professional image in dealing with customers, interdepartmental, and external representatives. Accurate typing/keyboarding skills; basic computer skills, including the use of word processing, spreadsheet software applications, core banking process systems, e-mail and on-line banking programs. Good analytical skills including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to retain broad knowledge of lending tasks. Strong analytical skills with a thorough understanding of lending operations and client needs.
