GENERAL FUNCTION: Selected candidates are intended to become a Retail Personal Banker II after completing a 4-8 week onboarding and education program that includes rotations in Operations and Sales & Service. There will be a certification at the conclusion of the program to demonstrate skills necessary for a role within the Retail Personal Banker job family. The Retail Personal Banker II role is a sales position focused on sales development and relationship building through promoting deposits, loans, fee-based services, and customer retention. Responsible for selling a full range of banking products and services to meet the needs of existing and prospective customers, providing specialized care and service. Utilize and promote the consultative sales and service process, using prescribed tools and collaborating with staff for referrals. Risk and Compliance: Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas, elevating concerns, and adhering to policies and procedures. Always act in the best interest of customers and colleagues, ensuring actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. Achieve results by identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks within the Bank's risk appetite. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Use the consultative sales process and Financial Needs Assessment to build customer profiles and identify financial needs. Maintain in-depth knowledge of Retail consumer and small business products/services; recommend appropriate solutions. Utilize CAMP and other approved marketing tools to proactively reach out to customers and schedule financial reviews. Focus on cross-selling to existing customers and engaging in outside sales activities such as presentations, business calls, and community events. Establish strong relationships with Business Partners (Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial, Investment) and refer customers appropriately. Consistently meet or exceed customer experience and sales goals, contributing to revenue growth. Guide CSRs regarding sales and referral processes. Promote customer satisfaction with professionalism and a friendly demeanor. Respond confidently to customer questions and own customer issues. Maintain confidentiality and trust. Follow the Bank's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, maintaining ethical behavior. Adhere to policies while opening and servicing Retail products. Participate in the consumer loan and bankcard processes, owning sourced loans from application to closing. Assist with opening/closing the Financial Center or Bank Mart as directed. Stay updated on Retail procedures to mitigate fraud and risk. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: College degree or relevant work experience. Experience in the financial industry preferred. Ability to develop comfort with sales activities and cross-selling. Understanding of advanced math for credit and financial analysis. Professional appearance and communication skills. Knowledge of Retail policies and sound judgment in decision-making. S.A.F.E. Act registration required through NMLS at employment. WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment. Extended viewing of computer screens. Travel within the affiliate for training and scheduling flexibility.
