This role is part of the Rigid Packaging North American Shared Services group and reports to the Senior Manager, Sales & General Accounting. The role is responsible for various general accounting functions, including month-end accounting close responsibilities, financial audit and various financial reporting/analysis tasks, support with technical accounting tasks for acquisitions and/or restructuring activities, support for tax and regulatory compliance. Essential Responsibilities And Duties

Own multiple month-end close responsibilities, including entries related to foreign exchange (FX) translation, intercompany transactions, minority interest accounting, acquisition/restructuring accounting, and other similar month-end activities Support requests related to the financial (NA Region, JV legal entity) and pension I benefit plan audits and interface with external auditors Provide required support for tax return and tax provision preparation, as well as grant compliance Manage North American business insurance policies and reserve accounting Manage Global office departmental SG&A accounting, planning and analysis Prepare monthly unaudited financial statements and supporting commentary for JV entity Develop forecast and budgets for multiple accounts I entities and analyze vs. actual results Manage restructuring accounting as a result of footprint changes to existing operations Assist with monthly financial data loading/mapping and validation from ERP system (SAP) to consolidation system (BPC), as well as develop/modify input schedules and reports in BPC Prepare monthly account reconciliations and supporting schedules for numerous accounts Play leadership role with purchase accounting for business acquisitions, including related journal entries, account reconciliations, working capital adjustments/auditing, and accounting integration efforts Research / apply IFRS literature to complex accounting issues and document management's position Ensure strong governance and policy adherence regarding release of financial information Lead/support special projects and prepare presentations for management as needed. Drive initiatives for leaders throughout the Shared Service Group Prepare finance/accounting presentations and special financial reports for management Support other ad hoc activities as required I necessary Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Master’s degree in business/Accounting Strong systems aptitude with preference given to candidates with SAP ERP / Business Planning & Consolidation (BPC) application experience 2-3 years’ experience working in large, complex and multi-currency multi-national environment, including experience with complex management and legal entity structures Strong character, integrity and ethics Professional with strong overall business acumen High level attention to detail; well organized with ability to problem solve Strong ERP and financial reporting software experience: SAP / BPC experience preferred Ability to multi-task, meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced business environment Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; capable of clearly articulating thoughts Effective team player who interacts well with others Competencies
