Pre-Litigation Attorney

to join our team and handle high-value personal injury cases. The ideal candidate will focus on overseeing the medical treatment aspects, managing a team of case managers, and conducting settlement negotiations for complex cases. As a Pre-Litigation Attorney, you will ensure that clients receive the proper medical care, oversee the management of their cases, and focus on negotiating settlements. Responsibilities Include Oversee and manage a team of case managers to ensure efficient handling of personal injury cases Focus on ensuring clients are receiving appropriate and timely medical treatment Directly handle settlement negotiations for high-value cases, striving to reach favorable outcomes for clients Review medical records and communicate with clients to ensure ongoing care and document treatment progress Collaborate with insurance companies, physicians, healthcare providers, and other involved parties to negotiate settlements Monitor case timelines, ensuring that all aspects of the pre-litigation process are progressing smoothly Provide guidance and support to the case managers in their tasks, including gathering medical records and ensuring treatment is aligned with the case's needs Assess cases for settlement readiness and strategize on how to best approach settlement negotiations Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements for handling pre-litigation cases Skills & Requirements Active license to practice law in California 2+ years of experience handling personal injury cases, with a focus on settlement negotiations in high-valuation cases Strong understanding of personal injury law, including medical treatment management and case evaluation Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record of achieving favorable settlements Leadership experience, with the ability to oversee and mentor a team of case managers Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients and external parties Ability to analyze complex medical and legal documents Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a high caseload Benefits Proficiency/performance bonus 401K 80 hours of vacation the first year of employment Paid Holidays Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance Supplemental insurance Opportunity for advancement BD&J is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
