Senior FOIA Paralegal

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking a Senior FOIA Paralegal to join our legal team supporting a large federal agency. This role involves legal review, FOIA request processing, and litigation support tasks.

Responsibilities include :
Conducting searches, analyzing result sets, and screening documents for privilege or FOIA exemptions.
Redacting and coding responsive documents.
Performing legal research and drafting legal documents.
Qualifications :
Paralegal certificate, JD, or current attendance at an ABA-accredited law school with at least one year of study.
Minimum of one year litigation paralegal experience; trial experience is a plus.
Experience with eDiscovery tools like Nuix Investigate, Relativity, etc., and processing FOIA requests.
Knowledge of FOIA rules, exemptions, and legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.
Strong communication skills and proficiency with computer applications.
Additional desirable skills :
Two years' experience with Nuix Investigate and FOIA processing.
Fluency in FOIA statutory and regulatory guidelines.
