Analyze and decompose DoD combat communications requirements into technical performance parameters and specifications. Design terrestrial and non‑terrestrial network architectures for LAN, WAN, and global enterprise networks using a wide range of communication media. Assess technical feasibility and viability of existing solutions to support emerging operational needs. Coordinate with stakeholders to track project milestones, capability roadmaps, fielding, and release schedules. Manage threshold and objective feature, capability, and use‑case development to synchronize capability delivery with network performance requirements. Forecast total network lifecycle cost and maintain data and information for out‑year cost forecasting. Prepare and deliver project status reports, analyze trends, and recommend actions related to network enterprise architectures. Lead teams through complex network and IT communications interoperability problems to meet urgent operational needs. Engage with and manage subcontractor installation companies and advocate for value and operational viability in network operations. Qualifications
15 years relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree; 13 years with a master’s; 10 years PhD or J.D.; or high school diploma with 19 years experience. CCDE or equivalent certification. Experience integrating multiple vendor solutions at the design level and technology outside of the Cisco product line. Previous experience in radio frequency network integration, space‑based and terrestrial wireless networks. CCNA (CCNP preferred). Active Secret clearance; current within five years; AT‑HIRE. Ability to acquire a TS/SCI clearance. Proficient knowledge of network engineering, architecture, and automation. Python script development, Elasticsearch/Logstash/Kibana, Linux and Windows systems administration. Strong written and verbal communication, team building, and collaboration skills. Preferred
