Job Description:
This is a part-time role for our overnight shift (11pm-7am). Potential to work every other weekend and some holidays.
Position Security Control Center Coordinator - The Auto Club Group
What you will do
Coordinate Control Center operations including but not limited to the CCTV system, security alarm system, radio dispatch, access control system, closed circuit television system, alarm monitoring systems and security information management system.
Operate and monitor the system, fire alarm system, card access system, public address system, and telephones. Make public address broadcasts as required.
Administer the card access, CCTV, branch alarm systems and other related systems including programming, troubleshooting and coordination of system repairs, upgrades, and expansions.
Coordinate preventative maintenance, inspection, and repair of security equipment and systems.
Ensure the training and certification of Control Center operators.
Handle daily Control Center operator functions as well as clerical duties as assigned by security management staff.
Monitor radio transmissions and control radio traffic and broadcast discipline within the system.
Receive and process all incoming telephone calls regarding routine security and safety matters; dispatch security personnel via radio/telephone to incidents.
Perform data entry and administration of the security information management system; maintain activity logs, report logs, dispatch forms and other records as necessary.
Ensure confidentiality of information in security reports or investigations. Provide clerical support and other duties as assigned by Security Management staff.
Supervisory Responsibilities None

Required Qualifications Education (minimum education and certifications):
Associates degree in Law Enforcement or a related field (preferred).
Experience:
Extensive experience as a Police, Fire, Security/Police Department Dispatcher or Control Center Operator.
Knowledge and Skills:
Extensive operational knowledge of access control systems, video identification badge systems, fire and burglar alarm systems and CCTV systems.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including report writing and telephone skills.
Ability to evaluate situations and make sound decisions based on all available information.
Ability to respond quickly and effectively under stressful and intense situations, prioritizing service needs under time constraints.
Maintain composure during stressful situations.
Advanced operational knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook).
Advanced operational knowledge of IRIMS (security information management software) and related database systems.
Operate firefighting equipment, fire alarm monitoring systems, first aid equipment, computers, office equipment, and other security equipment.
Interact well with the public and other departments; possess public relations and good customer service skills.
Physical activities: walking, standing, sitting, hearing, lifting, carrying, climbing, reaching, seeing, talking, and writing.
Ability to observe, identify, remember, understand, and problem solve.
Note:
May be required to work various shifts as required by Security Services Management.
Preferred Qualifications Associates degree in Law Enforcement or a related field.
Work Environment Works indoors in a corporate office environment. May be required to work outside in various weather conditions.
