Schwab Wealth Advisory offers fee-based, non-discretionary investment advisory services, providing clients with personalized advice and ongoing support. The Centralized Service & Operations team supports Fixed Income and Schwab Wealth Advisory clients via the client-facing phone teams. The Wealth Strategies Consulting Group addresses complex wealth management needs, offering specialized products for income, risk mitigation, and liquidity. Role Description
The Tax, Trust, and Estate Specialist is part of a dedicated team providing high-value services to Schwab’s advisory clients. This role involves delivering sophisticated advice to entrepreneurs and high-net-worth individuals with complex financial situations, substantial business interests, large estates, and extensive investment portfolios. The specialist will serve as the subject matter expert on all aspects of clients’ tax, trust, and estate needs. Responsibilities
Develop and maintain strong relationships with Financial Consultants and Wealth Advisors. Serve as an in-house authority on complex trust, estate, and income tax questions. Identify additional client needs to offer relevant Schwab services. Present expertise to groups and key partners to share knowledge and promote services. Educate internal teams to support client needs and drive referrals. Leverage previous experience in Tax, Trust, and Estate planning to support growth in Investment Advisor Services. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required. 5-10 years of relevant experience. Professional credentials such as JD, LLM, CPA, CTFA, or AEP required. Previous experience as a Tax, Trust, and Estate attorney strongly preferred. Extensive experience advising high-net-worth clients. Proven ability to uncover unstated client needs through diagnostic information gathering. Excellent presentation and collaborative skills. Strong communication, interpersonal, client service, and analytical skills. Ability to work effectively with high-net-worth clients and internal teams. Willingness to travel approximately 10-25%.
