The Accountant II plays an important role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the fiscal operations of the Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation department. Key Responsibilities
Developing, tracking, and reconciling departmental budgets. Providing guidance on allowable expenses, purchasing procedures, and cost allocations; ensuring supporting documentation complies with audit standards. Producing monthly budget reports and recommending adjustments; maintaining detailed financial records to ensure accountability. Approving departmental financial transactions and resolving discrepancies in coordination with staff and central finance offices. Managing billing and reconciliation processes for the department. Reconciling accounts monthly to ensure all revenue is accurately recorded. Preparing monthly and ad‑hoc reports that provide insight into departmental financial performance. Preparing documentation for audits and responding to auditor inquiries; implementing corrective actions as needed. Classification Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two (2) years of experience. Qualifications

Master's degree, experience in healthcare or higher education financial management; proficiency with enterprise financial systems and spreadsheets; strong skills in reconciliation, budget management, and contract billing. Application Instructions
