Capital Markets Sr. Associate - Portfolio Management
Location:
NYC or Philadelphia
Overview:
Facilitates execution, ongoing administration, and internal reporting within the asset-based loan business. Oversees portfolios and/or customer requests of low to medium complexity to identify and mitigate risk.
Generates reports, including portfolio and asset-level as well as business-level financial and regulatory reporting.
Performs and coordinates field exams. Reviews findings, reconciles with clients, and collaborates with Credit and Sales teams to ensure adherence to field exam plans and procedures.
Executes ongoing deal administration and surveillance plans: reviews and approves borrowing requests, sets up and monitors covenant reporting requirements, and reviews servicer reports, field exams, and other information. Evaluates market and economic data to assess impacts. Reviews and interprets loan documents and servicing agreements. Escalates issues and manages credit risk and compliance documentation.
Engages in frequent verbal and written communication with internal and external parties, including Commercial Lending Operations, Finance, Accounting, Credit, customers and their representatives, outside counsel, agencies, other banks, or field exam firms.
Manages compliance with documented policies and procedures, performs controls to mitigate risk, and facilitates testing of those controls by internal risk partners and external auditors/regulators.
Qualifications
Skills in Analytical Thinking, Collateral Management, Data Gathering and Reporting, Decision Making, Critical Thinking, Effective Communication, Flexibility, Investment Reporting, Portfolio Management, Problem Solving, and understanding of the Regulatory Environment in Financial Services.
Experience in Asset-Based Lending, Field Exams, Portfolio, or Credit Analysis.
Graduate of Credit Analyst Bank Training is a plus.
