Fund Accountant . Salary/Hourly Rate $90k - $110k plus discretionary bonus Position Overview
The Fund Accountant will play a critical role in managing the day-to-day accounting and reporting functions for assigned funds. This individual will be responsible for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of financial data, while collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have 3 - 5 years of fund accounting experience within the financial services industry, strong attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills. Responsibilities of the Fund Accountant
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for investment funds. Perform daily accounting functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, and expense accruals. Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements. Support audits by coordinating with external auditors and providing required documentation. Monitor and reconcile cash, positions, and transactions to ensure data integrity. Assist with investor reporting, capital calls, and distributions. Collaborate with internal teams to streamline workflows and improve processes. Required Experience/Skills
3 - 5 years of fund accounting experience. Strong knowledge of GAAP and investment accounting principles. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting/reporting systems. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Preferred Experience/Skills
Experience with private equity, hedge funds, or real estate funds. Strong communication skills for working with investors and stakeholders. Education Requirements
Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or progress toward CPA designation a plus. Benefits
