Finance Manager Collaborate with Innovative 3Mers Around the World. This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government, or military experience to a 3M career. Responsibilities
Be a business partner to the Area Division Leader in USAC & provide financial leadership to the USAC area team for ASD business. Drive robust processes in financial planning & analysis to improve business results, target attainment & accountability. Facilitate regular discussions on forecast outlook with risks and opportunity assessment, action plans with area and business teams on a regular basis, including but not limited to weekly forecast update & monthly forecast estimate. Accountable for Longview submission for monthly estimate, operating planning, and providing support for the long-term Strategic Plan. Leverage data across multiple systems and platforms to articulate sources of growth performance & variances. Connect operational actions to financial planning to drive accountability & execution. Engage in SIP/SPT, CIP, and other investments to drive growth and commercial excellence. Influence area & business team with analyses & insight to improve cash flow, including AR DSO, AR past due resolution, DIO & NWI performance & attainment. Engage with Global Portfolio teams & other cross-functional teams to drive portfolio management, price, mix and margin improvement, and return on investment optimization. Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial procedures. Your Skills And Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified before start) Five (5) years of finance experience in a private, public, government, or military environment Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: MBA or graduate degree in Finance from an accredited institution Ability to manage multiple workstreams and conflicting deadlines Solid business knowledge and acumen, as well as a strategic thinking mindset Thinks broadly of intersections between business, financial, and economic data Creative problem solving - ability to work with a variety of functional teams to address key issues Ability to translate data into meaningful financial insights and analysis Previous experience in a Business Finance role Self-starter with the ability to drive change Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational and prioritization skills Experience leading others and contributing to cross-functional teams Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Risk management analysis skills Experience with Longview Experience with developing Power BI tools Work location
