Role Overview As the
Founding Tax Analyst , you will define the core tax intelligence of the platform. You will translate complex federal and state tax law into accurate, executable models, and ensure our simulation stack produces insights that are
legally sound, practically actionable, and optimized for HNWI clients . This is
a hands-on role
you will write natural language frameworks (not code) for tax calculations, design evaluation logic for simulations, and work closely with engineers to systemize and digitize tax rules. Notable Responsibilities
Write natural language
tax calculation logic
and develop frameworks for simulation stacks that reflect real-world HNWI scenarios. Analyze 1040s and related forms to
identify optimization opportunities , including equity compensation, AMT, trusts, estates, and multi-entity portfolios. Collaborate with engineers to
digitize tax rules , ensuring accuracy and actionable outputs. Apply AI and prompt engineering techniques to extract insights from tax documents and identify areas for optimization. Serve as a
subject matter expert
on federal and state tax laws, providing guidance to the team on interpretation and edge cases. Research and implement strategies that are
legally compliant, financially optimal, and practically implementable . Required Skills & Experience
48 years of experience
in tax preparation, advisory, or accounting with HNWI clients. Deep understanding of
AMT, equity compensation, and multi-entity tax structures . Ability to
synthesize complex tax documents , identify opportunities, and translate them into
clear, structured instructional and guidance / directional frameworks that LLMs (large language models) can follow . Proven experience advising
high-net-worth individuals, founders and high income employees and executives
on tax strategies. Not required - Preferred / Bonus to have
CPA, tax attorney (LL.M - masters in tax), or accounting or legal background
(nice to have, not required). Familiarity with
LLMs, AI, or prompt engineering
in the context of tax optimization Experience in
digitizing tax rules, building simulation logic, or automating advisory processes . Impact
This is
foundational work , the decisions you make and the frameworks you build will directly impact the
accuracy and effectiveness of the platform . You will be working at the intersection of
deep tax expertise, cutting-edge AI, and software engineering , helping HNWI clients navigate scenarios that were previously only manageable with a team of advisors. You will be the founding member of the Tax technical Team This is
not a peripheral role , it is central to the product, the company, and the vision. Logistics
On-site in
San Francisco (Embarcadero / Ferry Building) No visa sponsorship available. Candidates must have or be able to independently obtain U.S. work authorization. Full-time - Onsite , Minimum 200k base + 1%+ equity Full Relocation support.
