Overview The main responsibility of the Senior Accountant will be the proper accounting for the Company’s global payroll and commissions (internal and external) in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Job duties will include month end close processes for related accounts, including analysis and reconciliation. This position will also contribute to process improvements and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Work cross-functionally with payroll and HR to ensure timely and accurate reporting of payroll related transactions and accruals for special payments.

Work cross-functionally with various departments to determine whether there have been any events (e.g., signed agreements) that require accrual/capitalization of commissions.

Prepare payroll accrual entries on a monthly basis based on the most recent payroll reports.

Collaborate with FP&A to ensure forecast/plan accurately match latest information regarding payroll and commission trends and that accruals reflect latest data and information for various bonus programs.

Prepare schedules and conduct analysis to support month over month fluctuations (e.g., fluctuations in payroll based on headcount and number of business days per month or fluctuations in commissions based on new/expired agreements).

Assist with providing support to external auditors.

Qualifications

Highly detail and deadline oriented

Good communication and collaboration skills

3-5 years of relevant accounting experience

CPA license

Big 4 Public Accounting experience highly preferred

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred

Experience with BlackLine (Recons, Tasks, Journals, Matching) preferred

Experience with UKG Pro payroll software preferred

Advanced skills in Word, PowerPoint, Excel (Pivots, V-lookups, graphs)
