Job Summary:
We are looking for a versatile and detail-oriented General Accounting / FP&A Analyst to join our finance team. This role will be primarily responsible for managing the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, while also supporting the organization's financial planning and analysis efforts. The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of accounting precision and analytical insight, playing a key role in both maintaining financial integrity and enabling data-driven strategic decisions.
Duties/Responsibilities:
FP&A:
Collect, analyze, and interpret financial data to support business strategies.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes across the organization.
Provide financial insights by analyzing past performance and projecting future trends.
Develop financial models and reports to evaluate business performance and optimize decision-making.
Deliver clear, data-driven recommendations to leadership to support strategic initiatives.
Monitor key metrics and provide variance analysis against budget and forecast.
General Accounting:
Own and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and adjustments.
Ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP in all financial reporting.
Maintain the general ledger and support timely preparation of financial statements.
Partner with auditors during external and internal audit processes.
Identify and implement process improvements to streamline close activities.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
3–5+ years of relevant accounting and FP&A experience.
Proficiency in Excel with proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and building financial models.
Nice to have:
ERP and BI/reporting system experience strongly preferred.
