Overview

Alarm.com is looking for an experienced and analytical compensation professional to execute all aspects of compensation strategy. As the sole compensation professional, this role will serve as both an advisor and hands-on practitioner, responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining compensation programs that support business objectives and ensure compliance. The ideal candidate will bring deep analytical expertise, strong business acumen and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. While the primary focus is US-based compensation, the role may support some international compensation as well. Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with HR Business Partners and business leaders to understand the compensation needs and objectives of the client group and advise on compensation decisions. Lead the annual compensation planning process with data preparation including merit, bonus and equity budgeting and modeling. Conduct market analysis, benchmarking and job mapping using Radford and other survey tools. Develop and/or maintain job architecture, leveling and career framework initiatives across departments. Review and approve employment offers; ensuring consistency, equity and support of our job architecture. Ensure compliance with FLSA, pay equity laws and relevant compensation regulations. Perform job evaluations, market pricing and FLSA classification reviews. Maintain compensation data integrity with HRIS (Workday). Develop compensation guidelines, tools and communications for HR and business leaders. Support select international compensation projects in partnership with HR. Manage the maintenance and execution of the company’s equity compensation program, including analyzing grant eligibility, preparing approval files, and communicating outcomes to relevant stakeholders. Mentor junior team members and contribute to team development. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Economics or related field 5-8 years of progressive compensation experience, preferably in high-growth or tech environments. Strong understanding of compensation principles, survey methodology and compliance regulations. Extremely strong analytical and quantitative skills and a track record for planning, delivering, and auditing work Highly collaborative and consultative approach to business partnership Experience with complex and global organizations preferred Knowledge of relevant Federal, State, Local laws/regulations relating to compensation Expert in Excel and data modeling skills (VBA, macros, array functions) Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive compensation outcomes. Excellent written and oral communication skills for internal presentations that demonstrate business acumen Ability to work independently in an ambiguous, fast-paced, and rapidly changing environment, with all levels of employees in the organization Preferred Qualifications
