Salary Range: USD $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Overview As a Consulting Utility Forester with AMS, you will work outdoors in diverse environments, from urban streets to remote forests, to keep the power network safe and reliable. Your role involves managing vegetation along utility easements, coordinating with landowners, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with industry safety standards.

Responsibilities
Improve safe and reliable electric service delivery to the public.
Act as subject‑matter expert on utility vegetation management (UVM).
Inspect easements and prescribe vegetation management actions.
Coordinate with landowners to develop vegetation plans.
Ensure tree crews follow proper safety and arboricultural practices.
Address customer concerns about vegetation in and adjacent to easements.
Coordinate with utility engineers on infrastructure upgrades and new construction.
Negotiate tree removal with customers when required.
Perform QA/QC inspections on completed vegetation work.
Identify vegetative threats to safe & reliable service and develop mitigation plans.
Drive company vehicle safely to work locations.
Qualifications
Ability to read maps.
Ability to identify tree species & growth rates.
Willingness to work alone under various weather and terrain conditions in remote areas.
Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, smartphones).
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
Preferred
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, or related field.
ISA Arborist, Registered Forester, or other related certification.
Prior GIS software/technology experience.
Strong desire to grow and develop career in UVM with AMS.
Bi‑Lingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
Physical & Environmental Requirements Work in a field environment; travel up to 10 miles per day, drive a vehicle, walk/hike on varied terrain, and lift up to 60 lbs. Exposure to noise, dust, grease, and hazardous traffic conditions.
