Overview
Law firm is seeking a Controller to join their Los Angeles office.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise a team across billing & collections, AP, payroll, cash receipts, and general accounting
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and operational accounting tasks
Oversee and improve processes related to billing systems, cash applications, and reconciliations
Maintain strong communication with department heads and internal stakeholders
Partner closely with the CFO on strategic financial initiatives
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
At least 10+ years of experience as a controller or senior finance manager in a law firm required
Aderant experience required
Proficiency in Aderant (preferably version 8.2) required
Strong understanding of law firm accounting operations a must
