Role:
By emphasizing ONE Park, ONE Mission, One Team, the Consumer Loan Originator assists members with their consumer lending needs, ensuring a seamless and efficient loan process. This role involves processing complete loan applications, including consumer loans, second mortgages, and HELOCs, while ensuring accuracy and timeliness. The Consumer Loan Originator provides information about credit union loan products, identifies cross-selling opportunities, and guides members in selecting options that best meet their financial needs. Additionally, the role includes maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and resolving member inquiries or referring them to the appropriate resource when necessary.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Process complete loan applications, including consumer loans, second mortgages, and HELOCs, ensuring all necessary information is collected, accurately completed, and entered in a timely manner. Address member inquiries about products and services, resolving issues within the scope of authority. Escalate more complex problems to a supervisor with recommendations for resolution. Serve as a liaison between members and various departments or organizations to facilitate a seamless lending experience.
Promote credit union loan products that best meet the needs of applicants, maximizing opportunities to provide value while achieving established sales targets.
Identify cross-sell opportunities and cross-sell services to members.
Conduct regular follow-ups on applications in progress, ensuring they are addressed within assigned timeframes.
Maintain appropriate records per credit union policy/procedures and prepare required reports as requested.
Perform other duties as assigned.

5. To sell the established number of new products per month focused on fitting a member's financial needs.
6. To follow the credit union’s Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering policies and procedures, including running OFAC searches, completing investigative reports of suspicious activity and currency transaction reports timely and without error.
7. To maintain a professional work environment, promote teamwork, build respect among coworkers and present a businesslike appearance.
8. To follow all security policies and procedures and report discrepancies or suspicious activity to manager immediately.
Knowledge and Skills: Experience
One year to three years of similar or related experience. Education
A high school education or GED. Interpersonal Skills
Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication. Other Skills
Able to operator computer programs efficiently including Microsoft Word, Excel, etc. Attention to detail.
