Overview

Spartanburg Methodist College invites applications for part-time, in-person adjunct faculty positions in Economics. The successful candidate may teach one to three sections of Microeconomics and/or Macroeconomics. The start date for the Fall 2025 Semester is August 12, but the Department seeks candidates for future semesters as well. Contracts may be renewed on a semester-by-semester basis pending enrollment, instructor availability, and student success. Responsibilities

Teach Microeconomics and/or Macroeconomics as a part-time, in-person adjunct faculty member (1–3 sections). Qualifications

Hold a PhD, MA, or MS in Economics or a DBA or MBA with 18 graduate hours in Economics. Possess strong communication skills. Have experience with Course Management Systems such as Blackboard, Canvas, or D2L. Be firmly committed to high-quality instruction for first-generation college students and be familiar with best practices in active learning pedagogies. Have demonstrable, successful experience as a teacher (college level preferred). Application Materials
