Cost Analyst - Electric Power Division at

Financial Data Analysis
Collect, evaluate, and analyze financial data, including expenses and cost transactions. Identify areas for potential cost reduction and efficiency improvements. Analyze cost reports, highlight trends and variances, and present findings with recommendations to management. Assess the impact of external factors on costs, such as inflation or exchange rates.
Budgeting and Forecasting
Develop and manage budgets aligned with the organization\'s strategic objectives. Forecast future costs and provide accurate and timely cost reports. Track expenses and monitor budget performance against forecasts.
Cost Optimization and Efficiency
Research and recommend changes in operating procedures to improve payment and procurement processes. Identify cost drivers and KPIs to measure and monitor cost performance. Implement cost-saving and profitable solutions for business operations.
Reporting and Communication
Prepare detailed financial analysis reports, statements, and presentations for stakeholders. Provide financial support and guidance to various departments to optimize cost allocation and resource utilization.
Additional Responsibilities
Conduct market research related to pricing and cost trends. Audit financial transactions and processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather cost data and develop cost models.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field preferred. Previous experience in cost accounting, budgeting, financial analysis, or project management is often preferred; relevant construction industry experience is valuable. Certified Cost Professional (CCP), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), or Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst (CCEA) preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other financial software. Understanding of financial statements and accounting principles. Familiarity with ERP systems and data visualization tools may be beneficial. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Collaborative mindset to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
