Reporting to the Manager of Risk Operations, the analyst will help drive best-in-class claims management, improve total cost of risk (TCOR), and strengthen safety and compliance across multiple hotel brands.## Key Responsibilities* Claims Management & Investigation:

- Review, analyze, and triage all guest and third-party general liability claims from initial intake to closure.

- Partner with hotel operations teams to conduct timely investigations, gather statements, and preserve evidence.

- Maintain accurate claim files within the Risk Management Information System (RMIS).

- Monitor claim cycle time, costs, and reserves; recommend appropriate settlements or defenses.* Risk Analysis & Reporting:

- Track and report on key metrics including claim frequency, claim severity, claim cost per closed file, subrogation recoveries, and TCOR benchmarks.

- Identify trends and root causes to recommend corrective action and prevent recurrence.

- Prepare periodic dashboards and executive summaries for senior leadership and insurance partners.* Safety & Loss Prevention Support:

- Collaborate with hotel leadership and Safety teams to implement corrective actions following incidents.

- Support safety audits, OSHA recordkeeping, and training initiatives for hourly and management staff.* Vendor & Partner Coordination:

- Liaise with insurance carriers, third-party administrators (TPA), and defense counsel to ensure timely and fair claim resolution.

- Assist in renewal submissions by providing accurate loss data and exposure information.* Continuous Improvement:

- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance claims efficiency and reduce risk costs.

- Support special projects such as policy updates, new property openings, and technology enhancements.* Cross-training in Work Comp.## Qualifications* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Risk Management, Insurance, Business Administration, Hospitality, or related field.* 2 years of experience in general liability claims, insurance, or risk analysis—hospitality or retail preferred.* Working knowledge of RMIS platforms, insurance coverages, and claims handling practices.* Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to partner with hotel teams, guests, and outside vendors.* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for data analysis and reporting.## About Loews Hotels at Universal OrlandoLoews Hotels at Universal Orlando consists of multiple award-winning resort hotels including Loews Universal Helios Grand Hotel, Universal Stella Nova Resort, Universal Terra Luna Resort, Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, Hard Rock Hotel, Loews Royal Pacific Resort, Loews Sapphire Falls Resort, Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort, Universal’s Aventura Hotel, and Endless Summer Resort – Surfside & Dockside Inn and Suites.
