Overview BWX Technologies, Inc. BWXT is currently seeking an On-Premise IT SAP Functional Analyst for its Lynchburg, VA or Barberton, OH locations.

Responsibilities

Supports the Project System (PS) and Production Planning (PP) configuration within SAP. SAP Project System is used to drive manufacturing demand, schedule, and project cost management. Batch management and serial numbers support traceability requirements.

Works with the development team to deliver reports, enhancements, forms, interfaces, and IDOC/ALE integration.

Releases transports for migration to the QA system, and defines and executes test plans to ensure proper application functioning.

Collaborates with business stakeholders to understand and document project and manufacturing business process requirements.

Solution Design and Configuration:

Designs SAP solutions to meet project and manufacturing business requirements.

Configures SAP ERP to implement project and manufacturing business processes and functionalities.

Collaborates with technical teams for necessary customizations or enhancements.

Implementation and Testing:

Leads and participates in the implementation of SAP ERP project and manufacturing solutions.

Conducts thorough testing of configured solutions to ensure they meet business requirements and are defect-free.

User Training and Support:

Provides training to end-users on new or updated processes.

Offers ongoing support to resolve issues and ensures smooth system operation.

Documentation:

Creates comprehensive documentation for implemented SAP ERP solutions, configurations, and processes.

Maintains up-to-date documentation for future reference and training purposes.

Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement in processes and system functionalities.

Stays informed about SAP updates and best practices.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.

10 years of relevant experience.

Proven experience as a manufacturing-focused SAP ERP Functional Analyst, with a focus on project manufacturing.

Experience with integrating and supporting MES solutions with SAP.

Integration experience with FICO, QM, IM, and WM.

Familiarity with BWXT-like business requirements, including government requirements, complex long build cycles, heavy project manufacturing at multiple sites, nuclear fabrication and services, and project accounting.

Significant troubleshooting skills and the ability to adapt quickly to new systems and technologies.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communications and interpersonal skills with a strong customer orientation.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently.

Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. DOE clearance.

Preferred Additional Qualifications

SAP certification in Project Systems.

SAP certification in Production Planning.

Experience with SAP S/4HANA.

Knowledge of integration points between PS, PP and other SAP modules.

Pay: $85,000- $134,000

The base salary range for this position in Ohio (US-OH) at the start of employment is expected to be between $85,000 and $134,000 per year. The base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary based on factors such as knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective considerations. The total compensation package may include an annual cash incentive and a full range of medical, retirement, and other benefits. Details of benefits will be provided with an offer. If hired, the selected candidate will be employed at-will unless governed by a collective bargaining agreement. BWXT reserves the right to modify base salary and other compensation/benefit programs at any time, including for performance or market factors.
