is a key contributor in the construction and startup phase of large-scale mission-critical building automation systems. You will work with design engineers, construction contractors, equipment vendors, and client staff to ensure proper operation and acceptance of the automation and software solutions. You will receive limited direction on day-to-day work and general instruction on new projects or assignments. You will assist project leadership on automation projects of complex scope and will work independently or under limited supervision. This role aligns with organizational goals, values, and departmental objectives. Responsibilities
Support planning, scheduling, and execution of project installation, startup, testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and closeout of large-scale building automation systems software integration projects. Collaborate with design engineers, construction contractors, equipment vendors, and client staff to ensure proper operation and acceptance of automation and software solutions. Communicate effectively with clients and act as a primary point of client contact as needed. Education / Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, or related discipline Two years of experience with hands-on installation, testing, validation, and troubleshooting of control infrastructure Plus: Minimum of five years of additional experience with installation, hands-on testing, validation, and troubleshooting of control infrastructure using PLC / SCADA platforms. Position Requirements
Knowledge of HVAC, mechanical, and electrical systems Knowledge of control wiring, relay logic, and associated sensors and field devices Knowledge of central cooling plant equipment, components, and sequences of operation Experience with startup and troubleshooting of PLC platforms, including Allen Bradley ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix Experience with troubleshooting low-voltage electrical systems Experience with startup and troubleshooting of SCADA platforms, including Ignition MS Office Suite proficiency for file management and documentation Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work remotely with effective communication and self-motivation Ability to interpret AE construction drawings, BAS shop drawings, wiring diagrams, standards documentation, submittals, and product data sheets Ability to follow company and site safety requirements Ability to prepare documents, reports, and correspondence Effective oral and written communication, including client interaction Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; ability to plan effectively and delegate work Ability to achieve certification for NFPA70E and/or OSHA training as required Maintain organized jobsite and manage multiple tasks Ability to work in a remote environment with proper time and task management Travel / Relocation Requirements
Must relocate to or live in the Atlanta, GA area Effective May 7, 2025, a valid REAL ID (or acceptable alternative such as a passport) is required for travel associated with this position Up to 75% travel to other jobsite locations, including travel to any of the 50 US states Additional Information
